From there, WOW, the steps down to the Grotte de Glace present a challenge, especially for anyone in less than good physical shape. They claim 550+ steps each way, almost like climbing to the 2nd Floor of the Eiffel Tower!

We purchased a multipass and decided to check out the Grotte de Glace as our second destination using it. The train ride was nice, we did not have a long wait and it was enjoyable. We got to the platform and walked down the path to get to the stairs that led to the Grotte de Glace. We entered the glacier through the tunnel and proceeded along.
